Hello — I’m Melly.
I’m a celebrant because I care deeply about people and the moments that shape them. I believe ceremonies matter — not as performances you have to get right, but moments you get to experience, where love, loss, and connection are given the space they deserve.
I work with couples and families who want something genuine. People who want meaning without feeling watched, authenticity over tradition-for-tradition’s-sake, and presence over perfection.
I’m calm, compassionate, and gently guide you so you don’t feel exposed standing at the front — whether that space is filled with laughter, nerves, tears, or all three at once.
How I work
I start by listening. Many couples come to me worried about feeling awkward — so the first thing I do is remove that pressure.
I want to understand who you are, what matters to you, and what this moment means in the wider story of your life. From there, I craft a ceremony that feels true — to your relationship, your values, and the people gathered around you.
If we’re creating a wedding ceremony, I’ll help you shape something that feels like home: personal, joyful, and grounded in meaning.
If I’m supporting you through a farewell, I’ll work with care and sensitivity to honour the life being remembered, holding space for grief, love, and reflection.
There’s no rush, no pressure, and no expectation to “do things a certain way.” My role is to guide you gently, offer structure where it’s helpful, and reassurance where it’s needed.

Why this work matters to me
